I get it - swimsuit shopping isn't the most fun activity, especially after our legs haven't seen the sun in 6 months. We spend hours shuffling from store to store, looking for a single redeeming one- piece, picking ourselves apart in the process and still leaving empty handed (or worse - settling for something that makes us feel terrible). Too often it doesn't end there either - every time we put that swimsuit on, it's all we can think about, and not for a good reason.

When picking out swimsuits, the goal is fit, flatter, and function. When we can nail those elements, getting a new swimsuit can actually be, dare I say it, something we look forward to! Seriously. And the fun gets to continue as you step out on your summer vacation in an outfit that makes you feel as beautiful as the destination you're traveling to.

I put together a catalog for you to shop jaw-dropping, stylist approved picks for all body shapes and sizes. So the next time you think about your swimsuit, it will be because everyone is asking where you got it.

Which swimsuit is best for your body type?

If you have short legs...make your legs look miles long with high-cut bottoms. Pump up the drama with a sassy pair of sunglasses!

If you have wide shoulders...balance the shoulder line with wider straps. This creates visual harmony without hiding. Balance the look further with wide leg pants.

If you have full hips...flatter your curves with bottoms that are high-cut and mid-rise. This elongates your legs and keeps the eye traveling up.

If you have an area of you body you want people to look at (or look away from)...correct pattern scale and placement makes a huge difference in where the eye stops. Busy patterns say "keep moving" while less dense patterns say "stay a while".

If you have a curvy bust...further accentuate some of your favorite assets with a halter neckline. Pro tip: create visual harmony when wearing a curvy print with circular accessories.

If you have a full midsection...rouching contours the body and creates visual interest while camouflaging any lumps and bumps.

If you have a small bust...try styles with ruffles or high necklines. You can also move in the opposite direction and go with a plunging neckline to create length and curves.

If your body is straighter throughout your torso... mirror that with angular cuts and add volume at the hips and bust with curved prints.

Remember: Dressing for your body type isn't to help you hide. It's simply telling people where to look - and the fun part is that you get to decide where on your body you want to draw the attention. Instead of thinking "what do I want to cover up?", think "what do I want to show off?"
